Rain Alert: Alert of heavy rains and hailstorm in many areas of Maharashtra including Mumbai, administration issued warning

News India Live, Digital Desk: Rain Alert: The state is facing monsoon. But suddenly the crisis of unseasonal rain has come to light. Many parts of the state received unseasonal rains yesterday. Many parts of the state received thunderstorms and rain. Yellow and orange alerts have been issued for some parts of the state including Mumbai. Unseasonal rain is expected for the next four days. Tomorrow and today some areas are expected to rain light. The Indian Meteorological Department issued a Yellow alert for Mumbai yesterday.

Yellow-orange alert for many districts

The state is receiving unseasonal rains continuously. Some districts of western Maharashtra including Vidarbha and Marathwada received unseasonal rains. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert in several districts including Mumbai and Thane. Yellow and Orange Alerts have been issued in many districts of the state including Mumbai and Thane. There is a possibility of rain in Mumbai, Pune, Kolhapur, Satara, Sangli, Solapur. ‘Orange Alert’ has been released on 14-15 May for Gondia, Bhandara, Gadchiroli, Wardha and Yavatmal. There is a possibility of thunderstorms and hailstorms in some areas. There has been a drastic decline in mercury due to cloudy in many districts.

Monsoon will reach the state on 6 June

The southwest monsoon has entered the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The region is expected to receive heavy rainfall for the next 24 hours. Monsoon is expected to reach Kerala on 27 May and Maharashtra on 6 June. Mumbai and its suburbs have been cloudy since morning and there is a possibility of rain at some places within the next 24 hours. The monsoon is expected to arrive in Maharashtra on 6 June.

In Dharamshala, bad weather hit for the second consecutive day

Dharashiv district has been badly affected by unseasonal rains for the second consecutive day. Dharashiva, Bhumi and Tuljapur areas received heavy rains with strong winds. Shivra was completely drenched due to rain for about an hour. Electricity was also disrupted in many areas due to the storm. The city of Dharashiv also received late night rains. Four animals including a horse died due to lightning in Umarga taluka. Meteorological Department Dharashiv Yellow alert has been issued in the district.
