The CBI has taken the biggest action so far in the Railway Promotion Examination Paper leak case. The investigating agency has detained 26 people from Pandit Deendayal Railway Division Office. It also includes two senior officials of the department. Along with this, important documents have also been seized from the DRM office.

Let us tell you that the CBI conducted an operation on the night of 3 and 4 March. During this period, departmental examination paper leak scam under East Central Railway was detected and it was exposed in Mughalsarai. A case has been registered against 1 senior DEE and 8 other railway officials, candidates and unknown persons in this entire case.

CBI arrested senior DEE and other railway employees

East Central Railway conducted a departmental examination for the posts of Chief Loco Inspector on 4 March 2025. When the CBI investigated in 3 places in this case, photocopy of handwritten question papers was also found from 17 candidates. Investigations so far have revealed that the accused senior DEE was entrusted with the responsibility of preparing the question paper for the examination. He himself wrote questions in English with his hands and gave it to the pilot. He translated it into Hindi and gave it to 1 OS. The alleged operator conveyed this information to the candidates through some other railway employees. The CBI has arrested the accused senior DEE and other railway employees on charges of collecting money and distributing paper.

Rs 1.17 crore cash received

It is being said that 17 departmental candidates currently working as a pilot had given money for the question paper and on the night of March 3-4, they were caught red-handed with copies of question papers. They have all been arrested. So far 26 railway officials have been arrested in this case. Searched at 8 places. Rs 1.17 crore cash has been recovered. His photocopy along with handwritten papers has also been confiscated.
