Navi Mumbai: Rahul Kardile, IAS took charge as Joint Managing Director of City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) on 31st December 2024, at CIDCO Bhavan, from the previous Joint Managing Director, Dilip Dhole.

Rahul Kardile is an IAS Officer of 2015 batch of Maharashtra cadre. He is an engineering graduate (B.E. Instrumentation).

He has previously held various key positions, including Supernumerary Additional Assistant Collector, Amravati; Assistant Collector and Sub-Divisional Officer, Seloo, Dist. Parbhani; Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Chandrapur; and Joint Commissioner, Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), Mumbai. Before taking the charge as JMD of CIDCO he served as District Collector and District Magistrate of Wardha.

During his tenure as District Collector of Wardha, Shri. Rahul Kardile implemented the “E-Office” initiative up to tehsil level, making Wardha the first district in Maharashtra to implement such an initiative.

Under the “Sewadoot” initiative, he introduced a pilot project to provide door to door service to citizens through Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLE) using online processe. He notified 90 more revenue services for citizens, and 27 out of them were made available online through the RTS portal.

He also took initiatives such as deepening 90 km naala in 96 drought-prone villages along with bamboo plantation on the banks, efforts to revive the Wardha District Central Cooperative Bank, etc.

“I would be taking review meeting with the HODs of all departments and will work with under the guidance of MD for the betterment of the city. I had a brief stint in MMRDA so I have somewhat idea about Navi Mumbai though it’s my first posting in the city,” Kardike said.
