Rae Bareli: A woman was killed and more than a dozen people were injured in a horrific road accident on the Rae Bareli-Sultanpur National Highway late on Friday evening. The accident took place near Purva village of Malin under the mill area police station. Most of the women and children are among the victims of the accident, some of whom remain in critical condition.
According to the information, the Bolero car going from Sultanpur towards Rae Bareli and an uncontrolled dumper coming from Rae Bareli collided face to face. The collision was so strong that the passengers sitting in the Bolero caused a shout. After the accident, the nearby villagers along with the police took out the injured from the vehicle and immediately rushed the district hospital to Rae Bareli with the help of an ambulance. Where doctors declared a woman dead, while 14 injured are undergoing treatment. CMS of the district hospital, Dr. Pradeep Aggarwal said that patients with critical condition will be referred if needed.
The dumper driver escaped from the spot after the incident. On receiving the information of the case, Sadar SDM Prafulla Sharma, CO City, City Magistrate and Police Station Incharge also reached the spot and took stock of the situation.
On the other hand, in another road accident near the list under the police station of Rae Bareli, a high speed car collided with a tree, in which two people aboard were seriously injured. Police reached the spot and immediately admitted the injured to CHC Salon.
