Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): On Tuesday, Gwalior police rescued a young man, Arvind Ahirwar son of constable Suresh Chandra Ahirwar, after he threatened to commit suicide over phone. The man, who had a fallout with his father and left home, had called his sister, an RTO officer posted in Barwani, and threatened to take his life.

Following this, her sister dialled 100 but received no immediate help. Later, his sister took to the social media platform X, sharing her brother’s mobile number and requesting help from the director general of police and the superintendent of police.

The post was made at 12 pm on Tuesday. The Cyber Cell’s technical team promptly traced Arvind’s location, who was found near DD Mall in Phoolbagh, roughly 30 minutes later. Police personnel from Madhauganj, who knew Arvind, responded quickly.

Upon reaching DD Mall, the officers discovered that Arvind had ingested a poisonous substance. After this, he was provided with medical assistance and taken to a hospital before being brought to the police station for further counselling.

Eventually, the Arvind was later reunited with his family. SP Dharmveer Singh informed the concerned sister about the successful rescue via a post on X, providing reassurance and highlighting the importance of timely intervention.
