Another wanted criminal of India has been caught in America. Punjab’s notorious gangster Happy Pasia, whose real name is Harpreet Singh, has been taken into custody by American officials. Pasia is accused of holding a total of 14 grenade attacks in Punjab, targeting police posts, religious places and political leaders.

According to Indian intelligence sources, Pasia has been identified as the main conspirator behind several grenade attacks. In the last seven months, there have been incidents of a total of 16 grenade attacks in Punjab, out of which its involvement has been found in 14. One of these major attacks took place on 11 September 2023 at a house in Sector 10, Chandigarh.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) had applied against Pasia for arrest warrant in Chandigarh district court. Investigation also revealed that Pasia is close to a gangster hidden gangster in Pakistan, Harvinder Singh Sandhu alias Rinda. Rinda carries out terrorist attacks in Punjab at the behest of ISI.
Illegal entry into America, accused of help from ISI
Pasia illegally entered the US in the year 2023 and from there, along with Rinda, was planning to create a network of terrorist activities in Punjab. According to the report, he also got financial support from Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI.
The Punjab Police and the National Investigation Agency were engaged for a long time in search of Pasia. A reward of Rs 5 lakh was also declared on it. He was eventually taken into custody by the Department of Immigration and Customs Information (ICE) of the US. Now the Government of India can carry forward its extradition process.
Taking responsibility for the attack on social media
Pasia took responsibility for the grenade attack on former SP Jaskirat Singh Chahal and his family on social media. This incident raised serious questions on law and order in the state. His arrest is considered a major success for the Punjab Police, as he had been a major challenge for the security of the state for a long time.
