Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher told during the press conference that the Punjab Bandh has received widespread support from the people. He said that barricades have been installed at more than 280 places in the state, completely disrupting road and rail traffic. He claimed that around 90-99% of the roads remained traffic-free since the morning, indicating the success of the bandh.

Pandher insisted that emergency services were not disrupted during the bandh. Ambulances, weddings, passengers going to the airport and people going to work were allowed to move. He appealed to the people to avoid any kind of dispute or violence and keep the bandh peaceful.
