A case of ransom demand from National Award winning lyricist Harmanjeet Singh Khayla has come to light. According to the information, a ransom of Rs 5 lakh has been demanded from him. After the singer received a threat, Mansa police station Sadar police registered a case on the singer’s complaint and arrested a school teacher.
Mansa DSP Buta Singh Gill said that singer Harmanjeet Singh had lodged a complaint with the police that he had received a letter demanding a ransom of Rs 5 lakh and threatening to kill him if the ransom was not paid. Mansa police and Investigation has been started immediately. After investigation, the police have arrested a person and registered a case and started action.
Let us tell you that lyricist Harmanjeet Singh is posted as a teacher in a village in Mansa district. Most of the songs written by him have been sung by Diljit Dusanjh. Harmanjeet’s songs have been included in many Punjabi films and he has also been awarded the National Award for the book Rani Tatt.
