Mohali: A shocking incident surfaced from Punjab’s Mohali, where a dog’s head was found in a refrigerator in a factory supplying momos. The factory is located in the Mattaur village of the district. The factory was raided by health officials on Sunday after the department reportedly received several complaints about unhygienic practices used for preparing edible items.
This factory was supplying momos, spring rolls, and other items across Chandigarh, Panchkula, and Mohali. According to reports, the body of the dog was missing. It is not clear whether dog meat was used in momos and spring rolls or consumed by the people working in the factory.
The remaining part of the dog’s boy was missing. The head was sent to the veterinary department for testing.
The officials also recovered chopped meat and a crusher machine from the factory, reported Dainik Bhaskar.
In the past, the locals had also posted about unhygienic conditions in the factory on social media. It has been running for the past two years in the area. It is reportedly owned by a person who is also running a bakery in the area, reported the media house.
There were reportedly around eight to ten people from Nepal working in the factory. Currently, all the employees of the factory are absconding. The authorities have launched an investigation into the matter. An operation has also been launched to trace the missing workers of the factory.
