Punjab: Today (4 May) Pahalgam terror attack has been 12 days. Relations between India and Pakistan have been very tense for the last 12 days. In view of tension with Pakistan, Prime Minister Modi is holding regular meetings with Army Chief Anil Chauhan. He also held a meeting with the Navy chief yesterday. While these marathon meetings are going on, an important news has come out.

It is reported that the Amritsar police in Punjab today arrested two Pakistani spies. According to the police, both were sending information and photographs of military camps and Air Force locations abroad in Punjab. Both of them are agents of Pakistani intelligence agency ISI. Both have been identified as Palak Sher Christ and Suraj Christ. The accused have sent pictures of military camps and air conditions to the enemy. Initial investigation has revealed that he has relations with Pakistani intelligence agents, which has been confirmed by Harpreet Singh alias Pittu alias Happy. Harpreet Singh alias Pittu is currently lodged in Amritsar Central Jail.

 

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Russia Mohammad Khalid Jamali has threatened India for a nuclear attack. In an interview to Russian media on Saturday, he warned that if India attacks Pakistan, Islamabad will respond with full force. Pakistan has violated the ceasefire on the Line of Control for the 10th consecutive day. Pakistani soldiers have opened fire in Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch, Rajouri, Mendhar, Naushera, Sundarbani and Akhnoor areas. On Saturday, Pakistan violated ceasefire in Kupwara, Uri and Akhnoor.

The Punjab Police is questioning both.

According to the Punjab Police, “Currently a case has been registered against both of them under the privacy Act and the investigation is on. It is expected that after the investigation is complete, more important clues will come up in the case. The Punjab Police is firmly standing with the Indian Army and is committed to its duty to protect national interests. Any attempt to harm our armed forces will be given a tough and quick reply.”
