Punjab News: A hearing was held in the Punjab and Haryana High Court today (Tuesday) on the matter of paddy not being lifted properly in the mandis of Punjab. Meanwhile, the Central Government has filed a reply saying that a meeting is going to be held between Punjab and the Central Government on October 31, in which efforts will be made to resolve this matter.
The High Court has ordered that the matter be resolved amicably because the matter concerns the entire state. Punjab is an agricultural state. During this, the lawyers of Punjab Government were also present who told about the arrangements made by them.
Along with this, the Central Government said that more rice will be distributed till March. On the last hearing, the court had issued notice to the Centre, Punjab government and FCI. The struggle of the farmers still continues. However, by-elections are to be held on 4 assembly seats on 13th November, in such a situation all the parties are trying to stand with the farmers.
of Aam Aadmi Party The leaders met Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria on Monday evening. This team was led by Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema. He asked the Governor to ask the Central Government to take steps to speed up paddy lifting. The government had claimed that till Monday evening 4 lakh metric tonnes of paddy had been lifted.
