The Water Supply Department of Pune Municipal Corporation has announced that on April 3, water supply will be closed for 24 hours in many areas of the city. This decision has been taken due to necessary repair works in various pumping stations and water purification centers. After repair, the water supply will be slowly restored from Friday afternoon.
Supply will be stalled due to maintenance
The Pune Municipal Corporation will do repair work at Parvati Water Treatment Plant, Bhama Askhed, Holkar Water Center, Vadgaon Water Center, Rajiv Gandhi Pumping Station and Warje Water Station on Thursday. There will be improvement work in tanks, pumping units and electrical systems at these places. Due to this, the supply of water will be closed the whole Thursday.
The Municipal Corporation has urged the citizens to store the required amount of water by Wednesday and make a prudent use of water on Thursday.

Supply will be restored from Friday
The Pune Municipal Corporation said that sufficient water has been supplied to the citizens for a few days before this cut, so that they can stock up. Also, it is advisable to use Stord water carefully on 3 April.
Water supply is expected to be normal gradually by Friday afternoon. However, there have been many such occasions before when the water supply could not be restored at the scheduled time after the repair work. That is why the Municipal Corporation has appealed to the citizens to take additional vigilance.
