Pune Shocker! School Van Driver Arrested For Molesting 15-Year-Old Girl Student | PTI
In a shocking incident in Pune, a school van driver has been arrested for molesting a 15-year-old girl student in Kondhwa.
The incident took place on December 11 in the school van on Katraj-Kondhwa Road.
The accused has been identified as Qayyum Ahmed Pathan (33, a resident of Vidyanagar, Kondhwa Khurd).
According to police information, the victim is studying at a reputed school in Kondhwa. Pathan used to pick up and drop off students in the school van.
On December 11, Pathan picked up the students from school to drop them off at home. To drop off a student, Pathan stopped the van on Katraj-Kondhwa Road. At that time, the victim was standing near the door of the van when Pathan molested her.
The victim got nervous and sat in the back seat of the van. However, she did not reveal the incident to her parents. Two days ago, Pathan tried to repeat the same heinous act. This time, the victim narrated the whole incident to her parents. Subsequently, a case has been registered at the Kondhwa Police Station under the relevant sections of the POCSO Act. The school driver was arrested by the Kondhwa Police.
Further investigation is underway.
