Pune Railway Division Surpasses Goods Traffic Revenue Target For 2024-25, Achieves ₹524.14 Crore | File Photo

Under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager Rajesh Verma and the leadership of Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Dr. Milind Hirwe, IRTS, Pune Railway Division has successfully exceeded its Goods Traffic revenue target for the financial year 2024-25.

A target of ₹506.80 crore was fixed for FY 2024-25, and the division has successfully surpassed it by an impressive 3.4%, achieving a total revenue of ₹524.14 crore to date, well in advance of the completion of the financial year.

Exceptional Growth in Sugar Traffic

Pune Division has recorded substantial growth in sugar traffic, reflecting a significant increase in revenue:

Last Year (2023-24): 335 rakes dispatched, generating ₹231.56 crore in revenue.

Current Year (2024-25): 442 rakes loaded, generating ₹306.41 crore in revenue.

Growth: 32% increase in sugar traffic.

New Traffic Stream – Molasses Loading

Pune Division has successfully introduced Molasses as a new traffic stream. Molasses is now being loaded from Miraj, Shrigonda, Belapur, and Karad to various destinations in Southern India (Manamadurai Jn, Chipurupalle, Tiruchchirappalli, Nellaikuppam).
