On the occasion of Gudi Padwa, Pune’s Police Commissioner, Amitesh Kumar, performed the Gudi Puja at the Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganapati Temple in city, marking the beginning of the Hindu New Year with a peaceful atmosphere and prayers for a prosperous and peaceful Pune.
He was accompanied by his wife and Sandeep Singh Gill, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone I.
The temple was beautifully decorated with vibrant rangoli, flowers, and the auspicious sound of the band, creating a festive ambiance that attracted large crowds of devotees.
The 41st anniversary of the Ganapati Temple was celebrated with grandeur, as dignitaries and devotees gathered to worship the magnificent Gudi, erected at the temple’s entrance by the Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Sarvajivan Ganapati Trust and Suvarnayug Tarun Mandal.
Kumar extended warm wishes to Punekars and prayed for Pune city to remain peaceful, and law and order to continue to be maintained.
General Secretary and MLA Hemant Rasne also participated in the celebrations, expressing his heartfelt wishes and prayers.
On this special occasion, Treasurer Mahesh Suryavanshi announced a music festival organized from March 30 to April 3 at NMV School on Bajirao Road. The festival features a diverse lineup of performances, including classical and sub-classical music, and folk songs.
The celebration reflected the spirit of unity and devotion, marking the start of the New Year with hopes for prosperity and harmony in Pune.
