BJP celebrated as the Bharatiya Janata Party unanimously chose Devendra Fadnavis as Leader of Maharashtra BJP Legislative Party at Alka Talkies Chowk in Pune. Pune BJP city president Dheeraj Ghate himself played drums along with his workers and celebrated the election of Devendra Fadnavis as the Chief Minister.
Pune City General Secretary Puneet Joshi, Raghavendra Mankar, Rajendra Shilimkar, Rahul Bhandare, Subhash Jungle, Varsha Tapkir, Pramod Kondhare, Ravindra Sale Gaonkar, Ganesh Ghosh, former corporator Jayant Bhave, Aditya Malve, Ajay Khedekar, Rajendra Kakade, Pushkar Tuljapurkar, Raju Pardeshi, Pranav Ganjiwale, Umesh Shah, Dilip Umbarkar, and Sandeep Kale were present on this occasion.
Bharatiya Janata Party unanimously chose Devendra Fadnavis as Leader of Maharashtra BJP Legislative Party. After being elected, Fadnavis termed the Assembly polls as “historic”, reiterated the “Ek Hain to Safe Hain” rhetoric of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during campaigning and added “Modi Hai to Mumkin hai”.
Ghate said, “Devendra Fadnavis is taking over as the Chief Minister of the state for the third time. Fadnavis has been elected to the post to honor and uplift the youth and women of the state. The beloved sister of the state will get her rightful godfather. A large number of activists, including all the office bearers and public representatives of Pune, will go to Mumbai tomorrow for the oath-taking ceremony. Devendra Fadnavis will move forward in the coming period by taking all sections of society with him.”
“Devendra Fadnavis successfully managed the state from 2014 to 2019. Therefore, the people of the state have faith that he will once again lead the state on the path of development. Along with the beloved sisters, the beloved brothers have also supported the BJP in the assembly elections. The Mahayuti has achieved historic success in the state, and the opposition has been cleared,” he added.
