Malout (Muktsar) – Taking major action in Malout, the police have busted the prostitution racket running under the guise of a spa centre. This raid was conducted at a spa center located in Sky Mall. Police arrested a total of four people from the spot, including a girl from Nagaland, a spa center operator, an employee boy and a customer. In this regard, a case was registered in the police station and the accused were presented in the court.

Inspector Paramjit and city police station in-charge Harpreet Kaur informed that they had received information that illegal prostitution business was going on in the spa center located at Sky Mall. Based on this information, the police conducted a planned raid. Illegal activities were found operating in the name of spa center on the spot.

The police immediately took action and detained the spa center operator, a girl resident of Nagaland, an employee boy, and a customer. A case was registered against all of them under various sections and they were produced in the court.

Major action has already been taken

On July 4 also, Malout police had raided the same mall and exposed a sex racket running in two spa centres. A total of 14 people, including eight girls and six boys, were arrested in this action.

Inspector Karmjeet Kaur, in-charge of Police Station City Malout, said that they had received secret information that illegal business was being run in the name of spa center in the mall. After this, after making a complete plan, the police team conducted a raid and caught 14 accused from the spot. FIR was registered against all the accused.

The accused were sent to judicial custody

The arrested accused were produced in the court, from where they were sent to judicial custody. Police said that such actions will continue to end such illegal activities.

This strict action of the police sends a clear message that illegal activities will not be tolerated. The administration is fully committed to curb this dirty game of prostitution going on in the name of spa centres.
