Project Mumbai signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Maharashtra on Tuesday to launch India’s first exclusive Industrial Training Institute skilling centre for Persons with Disabilities.
This initiative was formalised in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Ajit Pawar and Eknath Shinde, Minister for Skilling Mangal Prabhat Lodha, along with several other cabinet ministers. The programme is being supported by Manisha Varma, principal secretary, Skilling; Madhavi Sardeshmukh, director – vocational education and training.
To bring this programme to life, Project Mumbai will work in close collaboration with Atypical Advantage, experts in disability skilling.
Project Mumbai aims to works as a model of Public-Private-People partnership, to make Mumba and the extended Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR)a better place to live, work, play with volunteering work.
