Tel Aviv, October 29 (HS). International mediators are beginning to see possibilities of a ceasefire in Lebanon. Senior Israeli officials told ‘Y Net News’ that progress has been made on the agreement to end the fighting in Lebanon. According to the news of The Times of Israel, Y Net News has expressed this possibility quoting sources.

It has been reported that the duration of the ceasefire agreement under discussion with international mediators will be 60 days. During this period both sides will stop firing and work towards implementing UN Resolution 1701. The proposal will be implemented under this agreement. Also, the presence of terrorist group Hezbollah near the border will be prevented.

It will also include an international inspection system to investigate and resolve complaints of ceasefire violations, according to international mediators. Israel would have the right to take military action if the Lebanese army or UN forces fail to stop the violations. The agreement would prevent Hezbollah from regrouping and ban the entry of various weapons into Lebanon.
