According to sources, one to one and a half acre land can be given for Manmohan Singh’s memorial near Raj Ghat, National Memorial or Kisan Ghat. Officials from the Urban Development Ministry have visited Rajghat and its surrounding areas for the memorial.
There is also a possibility that space can be provided for the memorial of Dr. Manmohan Singh near the mausoleum of the leaders of Nehru-Gandhi family. It is noteworthy that here are the graves of the first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi and Sanjay Gandhi.
