The Mumbai Police, on Friday, detained the prime suspect in the Saif Ali Khan stabbing case. He was taken to the Bandra police station for questioning. The actor was attacked at his residence in Bandra, Mumbai, in the wee hours of Thursday after he tried to protect his family during a robbery bid.

Visuals from outside Bandra police station have now surfaced in which the cops can be seen taking the attacker inside for interrogation.

The accused was identified after he was captured in the CCTV of the actor’s residential complex.

In what seems to be a robbery bid, Saif Ali Khan was attacked around 2:30 am on Tuesday while he tried to protect his family from the intruder. As per the statement of one of the staff members of the household, the intruder entered the house from the couple’s four-year-old son Jeh’s bedroom and demanded a ransom of Rs 1 crore by holding him and his caretaker hostage.

When Saif intervened, the intruder attacked him leaving him with six wounds, and fled the scene. The actor was rushed to the Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent surgery after suffering a serious injury close to the spine. He is expected to be discharged by the weekend.

Post the incident, Kareena Kapoor Khan took to her social media handle to issue a statement, requesting privacy for the family. It has been an incredibly challenging day for our family, and we are still trying to process the events that have unfolded. As we navigate this difficult time, I respectfully and humbly request that the media and paparazzi refrain from the relentless speculation and coverage,” she wrote.

Security has now been heightened not just around the Khan residence but also outside the homes of other high-profile celebs and personalities residing in Bandra.
