When the Prime Minister’s friend Vibhushan met him in Sri Lanka, he said that it is the honor of 140 crore Indians. PM Narendra Modi was awarded the ‘Mitra Vibhushan’ award by Sri Lankan President Anuraa Kumara Disanayake. During this, PM Modi said that this is not my honor. But 140 million people of India are respected. Prime Minister Modi was awarded the Guard of Honor in Colombo. The Prime Minister said that this is a tribute to historical relations and close friendship between the people of India and Sri Lanka. He said that Bharat will cooperate in the renovation of Thirukonewaram Temple in Tinkomali. India will also cooperate in the construction of the ‘Sita Eliya’ temple in Anuradhapura and ‘Nurelia’ temple in the Mahabodhi temple complex in Anuradhapura.
7 MoU signed between India and Sri Lanka
After honoring PM Modi, important agreements were signed between India and Sri Lanka. 7 agreements have been signed between the two countries so far. These agreements have been made in various fields like health, defense, technology. The agreement was signed in the presence of Prime Minister Modi and President Disanayake.
