Often keeping wheat flour or maida for a long time, it applies white colored insects, which make webs in flour. In such a situation, the dough can be spoiled and is not safe to eat. However, the dough can be protected for a long time by adopting the right method. If you have worms in your flour, then adopt these easy solutions to prevent them from growing and keep the flour edible.

1. Sieve the dough well

If insects are seen in the dough, then –
Sieve the dough well with a sieve or cotton cloth.
This will lead to most insects and their eggs.

2. Store in the fridge

After filtering the dough, put it in an airtight bag.
Keep it in the fridge for 2 days.
Insects and their eggs die in cold temperatures.
After removing the fridge, filter again with a sieve, so that the remaining insects are also removed.

3. Storage correctly

Always store dough in airtight container.
Whichever box is kept in the dough, clean and dry it thoroughly.
Dirt or moisture increases the chances of insects flourish.

4. Keep cleaning around the container

The place where the flour box is placed should be dry and clean.
Insects grow rapidly at the moisture area, so always store the dough in a dry place.

5. Use celery

Put a small bundle of celery in the dough container.
Its sharp smell helps to keep insects away from flour.

6. Dry the dough in the sun

From time to time, dry the dough in strong sunlight.
This ends the insects and moisture in the flour.
After drying in the sun, filter it and store it in a clean container.
