Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): President Droupadi Murmu will attend a mass marriage ceremony organised by a charitable organisation in Chhatarpur district on Wednesday. Shree Bageshwar Jan Seva Samiti of Dhirendra Shastri has organised the mass wedding ceremony at Gadha village in the district, where President Murmu will be present. Two-hundred-and-fifty-one couples will tie nuptial knot on this occasion. Of 251 girls, 108 belong to tribal communities, while 143 are from other communities. The girls come from nine states — Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Delhi, Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and Chhattisgarh.
Among selected girls, four are disabled, while 54 are orphans, with 94 having lost their fathers and 12 having lost their mothers. Moreover, 87 girls belong to very poor families, with many facing financial hardship due to serious illness in their families. On February 23, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had laid the foundation stone of more than Rs 200 crore health facility, including a cancer hospital, being built at Bageshwar Dham at Gadha village of Chhatarpur district.
CS Anurag Jain To Review GIS Investments Weekly
Chief Secretary Anurag Jain has said the proposals received at the Global Investors Summit (GIS) will be reviewed every week. Jain gave the information about the follow-up of the proposals received at summit in the concluding function of the two-day GIS. Jain said he would hold a meeting with the officers to review the investment proposals every month. MP has become one of the fast-developing states in the country in the past 12 years, he said.
Eighteen policies have been made and the department-wise information has been mentioned in each policy, he said. Referring to the tourism policy, he has said once 28 types of permission had to be taken for investment in this sector, but now, only ten permissions are required. According to CS, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given the mantra of three Ts: tourism, technology and textiles. The work is on in all three sectors. New policies have been prepared for these sectors, and investment proposals have been received at the GIS.
