Kathmandu, 08 July (Hindustan Times). Nepal’s Foreign Minister NP Saud said on Saturday that preparations are in full swing for the proposed visit of Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ to China in the beginning of September. In view of Prachanda’s visit, Dr. Meen Bahadur Shrestha, Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission of Nepal, reached Beijing on Saturday. During this, he will also participate in the program of Global Forum for Share Development.

According to the Planning Commission, Shrestha will have a formal meeting with China’s Vice Development Minister Def Wuying on Sunday and Vice President Han Sheff on Tuesday. He will return to Kathmandu on Tuesday night.

Earlier, many high officials of Nepal have also visited China. Deputy Prime Minister Narayankaji Shrestha returned to Kathmandu on July 2 after completing his visit to China. He said that China is more interested in the Belt and Road Initiative.

A delegation of Nepalese parliamentarians led by Nepal’s National Assembly Speaker Ganesh Prasad Timilsina visited China in June. Chinese officials are also frequently visiting Nepal in view of infrastructure related projects.
