Indian Defence: In the new year, the government is going to sign a big defense agreement to strengthen the Indian Armed Forces. As part of a long-term plan to boost the striking capability of the armed forces, it will sign at least four major defense deals for fighter aircraft, submarines, helicopters and artillery before the financial year ending March 31. Whose total cost is more than Rs 1.5 lakh crore.

India will make this big deal with France!

According to media reports, India will soon sign a deal with France for 26 Rafale-Marine fighter aircraft worth about Rs 63,000 crore. Which will be deployed on the deck of the aircraft carrier INS Vikrant.

The seal includes the Navy’s 22 single-seat sea jets and four twin-seat trainers, as well as weapons, simulators, training and logistics support for five years, as well as spare parts for 36 Rafales. The final approval of the Cabinet Committee on this deal is awaited.

PM Modi will also talk big

PM Modi is going to France on 11 and 12 February for the Artificial Intelligence Summit. Meanwhile, they will sign another agreement with France worth Rs 38,000 crore. The deal will see India acquire three additional Scorpene diesel-electric submarines with long stay underwater and air-independent propulsion (AIP). It will be built at Mazgaon Docks in Mumbai. Also, it will be deployed by the year 2031.

 

In addition, the Government of India has invested approximately Rs. 53,000 crore and Rs. 307 indigenous Advanced Towed Artillery Gun System (ATAGS). A deal worth Rs 8,500 crore is going to happen. New giant helicopters manufactured by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited are being purchased for areas like Siachen Glacier and eastern Ladakh. Designed and developed by DRDO, ATAGS has a firing range of up to 48 km. This will be done by Bharat Forge and Tata Advanced Systems.
