A massive effort involving 15,000 volunteers will focus on cleaning and beautifying key areas in and around the Kumbh Mela site. This synchronised cleaning drive highlights the importance of environmental awareness and communal responsibility. ADM (Kumbh Mela) Vivek Chaturvedi stated, “The drive will highlight the spiritual significance of cleanliness and environmental preservation.”
Largest E-vehicle parade
In a push for eco-friendly transport solutions, a parade of 1,000 e-rickshaws and electric vehicles will promote sustainability and reduce carbon emissions. Chaturvedi noted, “This initiative underscores Mahakumbh’s commitment to sustainable transport solutions, reducing carbon emissions, and improving last-mile connectivity.”
Most handprint paintings created in eight hours
This artistic effort will involve 10,000 participants leaving their handprints on a large canvas, symbolising unity and diversity. Each handprint will represent the shared spiritual values and collective harmony of the Maha Kumbh.
Largest river-cleaning campaign
A collaborative effort by 300 volunteers will clean riverbanks at various locations. This initiative highlights ecological conservation and the profound spiritual connection between humanity and nature.
Further, reports suggest that a dedicated coordination team will be established in cooperation with the Prayagraj Mela Authority to guarantee adherence to the strict regulations set forth by Guinness World Records. The group will oversee procedure adherence, maintain accurate records, and manage logistics.

Chaturvedi shared, “Our team will coordinate with Guinness World Records officials to finalise contracts, interpret performance guidelines, and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).” He highlighted that all procedures, from registering participants to carrying out the event, will adhere to established protocols.
