After Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, Prayagraj is going to become the second city where double decker electric buses will run from next month. These buses will not only provide convenient travel to passengers but will also contribute to environmental protection. Two main routes for these buses have been set in Prague.
Double decker e-bus route:
The first route will be from Prague Airport to Civil Lines Bus Station. This bus will reach Chufatta Rail Over Bridge, High Court Flyover, Vivekanand Murthy Square, Public Service Commission intersection and Civil Lines from Stanley Road. The second route will start from Govindpur and go to MNNIT Rail Over Bridge, Allahabad University, Balsan Square, Rambagh over Bridge, Bairahana, Naya Yamuna Bridge and Naini via Chiviki railway station.
Earlier there were plans to run these buses to the railway station, but the route was changed due to lack of traffic and space. Due to lack of railway under bridge on both routes, buses will be easy to operate.
Bus characteristics:
Double decker electric buses are environmentally friendly, which will reduce the pollution of the city. These buses with high passenger capacity will connect the major educational institutions, hostels and congested areas of the city. Modern and comfortable facilities will be available to passengers in these buses.
Improvement in public transport:
With the introduction of these buses, the public transport system of the city will be strengthened. Daily passengers will get the benefit of comfortable and pollution -free travel.
Why the operation delayed:
The operation of these buses was to start during the Mahakumbh, but the buses were standing in the Rajapur Roadways Workshop for the last two months due to non -determination of the route and the height of the railway under bridges. To solve the problem, the Roadways Department surveyed the new route and eventually the route from Govindpur to Chivic Station and Airport to Civil Lines was fixed. Now next month these buses will be on the streets.
