Mumbai – Prateek Babbar, son of Raj Babbar and late Smita Patil, has eventually broken his cordial relations with her father. He has removed the surname Babbar by his last name. Instead, he has also added the name of his mother Smita Patil to his seven films. Now he will be known as Prateek Smita Patil. Recently, Prateek is in discussion about her second marriage to Priya Banerjee. He did not even invite his father Raj to his marriage. Priya Banerjee recently said in a statement that there was nothing like the Babbar family with us. We have never felt that we are part of that family.
Prateek had said that he does not care about what challenges will come from changing the name. I want to join my mother Smita Patil’s name and her legacy. I do not want to be like my father.
It is noteworthy that her mother Smita Patil died a few days after giving birth to Prateek. On the other hand, Raj Babbar’s first wife has two children Arya Babbar and Juhi Babbar.
