Team India pacer Prasidh Krishna confirmed that their attack leader Jasprit Bumrah has a back spasm, causing him to go off the ground for scans on day two of the fifth Test against Australia in Sydney. The right-arm pacer revealed that the medical team is monitoring him but didn’t confirm if Bumrah will be fit to bowl in the fourth innings.
In a video surfaced on social media, Bumrah was seen going off in his training gear, whisked out in a car after lunch on day two, leaving Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna and Nitish Kumar Reddy to handle the workload. Nevertheless, he returned to the SCG in some time.
During the presser after day two in Sydney, Krishna stated in a video posted by CODE Sports:
“Yes, he had a back spasm. He had gone for scans. The medical team is monitoring him and we will know more when they get back to us.”
