‘Congratulations On Your Appointment As Panauti’: Prafull Billore Aka MBA Chai Wala Resigns After India Beat Pakistan, Says ‘IITian Baba To Take Over’ |

Prafull Billore, the founder of the MBA Chai Wala Group, recently announced his resignation from his position, playfully referring to himself as “panauti” (unlucky) for Team India. In a social media post, he hinted that the baton would now pass to IITian Baba, the viral Mahakumbh Baba, who recently returned to the spotlight for his incorrect prediction about India’s cricket match against Pakistan.

In his resignation post, Billore wrote, “I have resigned recently from my job. It’s all yours now!! Ram ram, Jay Shri Ram.” He followed up with a more formal message congratulating the new leader. “Congratulations on your appointment as the new leader, I am thrilled to welcome you to this role and wish you all the best for your tenure. As I pass the baton to you, I want to express my gratitude for the opportunity to have led this organization. It has been an incredible journey,” wrote Billore.

Billore’s announcement came in the wake of India’s resounding victory over Pakistan in the Champions Trophy match on Sunday. As Virat Kohli’s outstanding century led India to a comfortable win, the nation erupted in celebration. Social media buzzed with praise for Team India and Kohli, but another name that trended was Abhay Singh, better known as ‘IITian Baba.’ The aerospace engineer-turned-sadhu had earlier made headlines with his bold prediction that India would lose to Pakistan.

IIT Baba’s Prediction On IND vs PAK Match Result

Appearing on a podcast before the match, IITian Baba had confidently stated, “Iss bar India nahi jeetegi. Virat Kohli aur sabko bol do ki jeet ke dikha dein. Maine bola nahi jeetegi India toh nahi jeetegi.” (India will not win this time. Tell Virat Kohli and the team to try their best, but they won’t win. If I say they won’t win, they won’t.) However, his prediction proved drastically wrong, leading to a wave of online trolling. Memes flooded social media, with many users branding him a fraud and urging podcast hosts to stop giving him a platform.

IIT Baba Apologises After Prediction Goes Awfully Wrong

The backlash prompted Abhay Singh to apologise publicly. He shared a post on X (formerly Twitter), acknowledging his mistaken prophecy and sharing pictures of Virat Kohli and the victorious Indian team. His message read, “I want to publicly apologise and ask each one of you all to celebrate, it’s party time. Mujhe mann hi mann pata tha ki India jeetega.” (I knew in my heart that India would win.)
