Pradosh Vrat has special significance in Hinduism. This fast is kept on the Trayodashi date of Krishna and Shukla Paksha of every month. Worship method of Guru Pradosh Vrat
Wake up early in the morning and take a pledge to fast after bathing etc.
Offer water, belpatra, fruit, flowers, rice (rice) and incense and lamp on the Shivling.
Recite Pradosh Vrat Katha and perform the aarti of Lord Shiva.
After offering bhog, follow the fast throughout the day.
Rules of Guru Pradosh fast
On this day tamasic food (meat, alcohol, garlic-onion) is forbidden. Spend more and more time in the attention of Lord Shiva. Avoid negative thoughts and anger. It is considered auspicious to make charity.
