South superstar Prabhas, who is reportedly busy with the shoot for his upcoming film, injured himself recently. He also apologised to his fans in Japan as he missed the promotions of Kalki 2898 AD there. For those unversed, the dystopian sci-fi action film is all set to release in japan on January 3, 2025.
According to media reports, Prabhas’ message for his fans has been doing the rounds on social media in which he revealed about his ankle injury.
The message read, “Thank you for always showering so much love on me and my work. I had been looking forward to going to Japan for a long time. However, I am very sorry to say that I sprained my ankle during filming and was unable to attend.”
The actor added, “Our distributor Twin has been extremely supportive and we are grateful for all their efforts in getting ‘Kalki 2898-AD’ ready for release on Friday, January 3rd. I hope to see you soon.”
Reportedly, Prabhas is currently shooting Hanu Raghavapudi’s film which is tentatively titled Fauji. The film also stars Iman Esmail, aka Imanvi. The film is a historical drama centered around the time of Subhash Chandra Bose. It is based on the Razakar movement, set in the 1940s.
According to the reports, Prabhas is set to play a soldier in the pre-Independence British Army.
Earlier, there were speculations that Mrunal Thakur would play the female lead in the film, but she cleared the air on her social media that she is not a part of the project. The film also stars veteran actors Mithun Chakraborty and Jaya Prada.
