Political Statement: Iran’s supreme leader accused Trump of lying

News India Live, Digital Desk: Political Statement: Iran’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei termed the recent claim of US President Donald Trump as “lies”, stating that he wanted to use power to ensure peace, he cited the support of the Trump administration for the murders in the Gaza Strip.

According to the footage of his comments published on Khamenei’s website, Khamenei made the comment in a meeting with a large number of teachers in Tehran on Saturday, while he was reacting to Trump’s comments in the region during his visit to West Asia earlier this week.

The Iranian leader said, “Trump said he wants to use power for peace; he lied. He and other US authorities and US administration have used power to support killings in Gaza, incite war at any place and support their mercenary soldiers.”

Khamenei reiterated his threats against Israel and called it a “Zionic rule” and “a dangerous and deadly cancer -like tumor in the region, which must be uprooted and uprooted.

According to the news agency Xinhua, he expressed confidence that the US would have to get out of the region with the determination and efforts of the regional countries.

Earlier this week, Trump visited three Gulf Arab countries – Saudi Arabia, Qatar and United Arab Emirates, located in West Asia.

In his speech in Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh on Tuesday, Trump described Iran as the “most destructive power” in the Middle East and accused him of promoting regional instability. He also said that America will never allow Iran to gain nuclear weapons.

However, Trump wants to avoid making an agreement with Iran that is like the Joint Comprehensive Action Plan (JCPOA), which agreed during the Barack Obama’s President’s period and included the European Union and China. Trump separated himself from JCPOA in 2018 and banned Tehran again. The following year, Iran stopped following the broken agreement.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Saeed Abbas Araghchi said on Saturday that his country would not abandon his right to a peaceful nuclear program, but he guaranteed harmony in talks with the US.

The allegations and counter-allegations between Tehran and Washington are taking place at a time when the two sides have held four round of indirect talks on the issue of the removal of Tehran’s nuclear program and US restrictions from Oman’s mediation in the last few weeks.
