Bangladesh The President of the interim government, Mohammad Yunus and his colleagues, made it clear on Saturday that if they were pressurized by holding elections or any other issue without any other issue, they would retaliate with the public. The statement came after the Army Chief and BNP (Bangladesh Nationalist Party) demanded to hold elections by December.
If you interrupt the government’s work…
In fact, in the last nine months, Bangladesh, especially in its capital Dhaka, have held mass movement and more than a dozen roads. A statement issued by the Chief Advisory Office said, “If any action intervenes in the general functioning of the government’s autonomy, reform efforts, judicial process, independent and fair elections or systems or makes the government unable to fulfill its assigned responsibilities, the government will take necessary decisions after consulting the public.”
The issues of the country were raised on the streets instead of Parliament.
According to the information received, the supporters of Younus are ready to struggle from the road to every front to save the interim government. It was the same mass movement that overthrew Sheikh Hasina’s government on 5 August 2024 and forced him to leave Dhaka. Since then, most of the issues have been raised on the streets rather than Parliament, and the government has often been seen bending in front of the pressure of protesters and Islamic mobs.
From the ban on the Awami League to the burning of the residence in Dhanmandi 32 of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and protest against the Women’s Rights Amendment Act, the manpower can be seen in Bangladesh at present.
Power of mass movements
Younus -led interim government, student -led NCP (National Citizens Party) and Islamic groups have recognized the power of mass movement. Even BNP (Bangladesh Nationalist Party) organizes rallies to show its strength.
We will show the truth to the public.
The warning issued by the Chief Advisory Office said, “If the problems arising due to defeated elements or foreign conspiracies have obstructed the government’s work, we will show the truth to the public and take a decision together.”
The leaders of the Yunus and the July 2024 mass movement got immense support from the public as people hoped that Sheikh Hasina would have a new beginning with the end of the rule. Wow, the initial enthusiasm is now getting cold. Because the country’s economic growth rate is falling. Apart from this, law and order situation is also deteriorating.
Yunus will not resign.
After the speculation of Yunus’s resignation, it is now clear that he will remain the head of the interim government after a meeting of the informal advisory council on Saturday. The statement came after his colleague, especially after a statement by Nahid Islam, leader of the student movement, on Thursday (May 22), in which he said that Younus is considering the resignation.
