Bettiah: A sensational incident has come to light from Bettiah Police Line late Saturday evening. Paramjit, a soldier on duty, made his own fellow constable Sonu Kumar a furrowing fate with INSAS rifle, causing Sonu’s death on the spot. It is being told that Sonu was killed a total of 11 cows, of which many cows were fired.
There was chaos in the police line at the time of the incident. The whole area was shaken by the voice of Go “Libari. According to eyewitnesses, the soldier Paramjeet was firing one after the other and then took his rifle to the roof of the police line. The policemen had to struggle a lot to control the situation.
Soon after the incident, a pagli bell was rang and additional force was called on the spot. Paramjeet was then arrested and brought to Mufassil police station, where SDPO Vivek Deep is questioning him.
Seeing the seriousness of the incident, DIG Harkishore Rai of Champaran Range also reached the spot and started investigation. The police barrack has been recovered from soldier Sonu Kumar and sent for Po “Stamortum.
It is being told that there was an old dispute between the two soldiers over something, which turned into violence late Saturday evening. This incident has shocked the entire police department and the security system of the police line has also been questioned. Currently the police is investigating the entire case.
