Haridwar, 25 November (HS). Last night, police entered a marriage ceremony going on in Kaliyar police station area amid the band playing and procession. Due to which, three drug addicts who were firing with bullet silencer in the wedding procession were sent to the jail and had to face challan also.
Police Captain’s reader Vipin Pathak told that last night during a procession in Dhanori under Kaliar area, three youths were releasing firecrackers from the silencer of the bullet in the name of fireworks. Seeing the problems of the local people, Kaliyar police immediately reached the spot and took the three youths including the bullet driver into custody and got them medically treated. After the intoxication was confirmed, all three were issued challans under the sections of drunk and drive without helmet, triple riding and modified silencer and the bullets were also seized.
The arrested youth include Akash Sharma, son of Lakshmi Chand, resident of Hallu Majra, Bhagwanpur, Vinay, son of Mangeram and Kanhaiya, son of Jogendra, all three residents of Hallu Majra, Bhagwanpur, Haridwar.
