Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A police constable in Gwalior has been caught taking a monthly bribe of ₹15,000 to protect a massage parlor on Wednesday. The parlor was secretly running a prostitution racket.

The shocking revelation came after a raid on The Healing Hand Massage Therapy in Patel Nagar, where illegal activities were uncovered.

During the raid, police detained six women, two customers—Jitendra Rajput and Sanket Bansal—and the parlor’s owner, Pritesh Chaurasia, along with manager Devendra Sharma.

Investigations revealed that the parlor’s massage services were merely a facade, with prostitution being the main source of income.

The parlor’s manager admitted that Constable Manoj Sharma, in charge of the local beat, collected the bribe every month and assured them of police protection.

With this arrangement, the business expanded to include supplying women to hotels and other locations without fear of police intervention.

Following an investigation led by ASP Shrikrishna Lalchandani, the constable’s involvement was confirmed, and suspicions were raised about the role of University Police Station in-charge Upendra Chhari.

Acting on the findings, SP Dharamveer Singh Yadav suspended Constable Sharma and transferred Station In-charge Chhari to the police lines. Departmental action has also been initiated against both officers.

The incident has sparked outrage and raised concerns about corruption within the police force, with authorities promising stricter measures to prevent such misconduct in the future.
