BPSC protest: Protests by students against BPSC have been going on for the last several days in Patna, the capital of Bihar. Meanwhile, Student Parliament was organized at Gandhi Maidan in Patna on Sunday (29 December). Jansuraj founder Prashant Kishore also participated in it. After which the students took out a rally. The march was to start from Gandhi Maidan and reach the Chief Minister’s residence. However, the police stopped the students and lathi-charged them and also used water cannons. Now the police have registered a complaint against 21 people including Prashant Kishore and 600 unknown people in this case.
What is the whole incident?
It is noteworthy that the students are demanding the cancellation of the recently held BPSC examination as well as normalization of the examination. The students wanted the examination to be conducted again, on this issue the students organized a student parliament at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. After which they also took out a rally till the Chief Minister’s residence, but the police stopped the students near JP Golambar. Due to this the students started protesting on the road itself. Meanwhile, the police tried to convince a lot, but the students remained adamant on going to the CM residence. During this time there was a long traffic jam. After which the police lathicharged and used water cannon to remove the students, in which many students were injured. The police have also detained many students.
Complaint filed against Prashant Kishore
A case has been registered under serious sections against Prashant Kishore and the state president of his party in connection with the demonstration of Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) candidates. Prashant Kishore is accused of instigating the candidates and creating ruckus by bringing them on the road. Due to this, many serious sections have been imposed on him. In this case, 21 people including Prashant Kishore have been named and more than 600 unknown people have been made accused.

Actually, the candidates say that under the leadership of Prashant Kishore, they decided to march towards the Secretariat. He came out of Gandhi Maidan to talk to the government. To stop them, Bihar Police had also installed barricades in several layers. But as soon as the candidates moved forward to break it, Bihar Police arrived to stop them.
What did Prashant Kishore say?
Addressing the candidates at Gandhi Maidan, Prashant Kishore said, ‘Nothing will be achieved by raising slogans for a day. The lives of students in Bihar have been ruined for many years. This battle will have to be fought for a long time and the problem will have to be rooted out. Farmers camped in Delhi for years, only then did they achieve something. If the change in domicile policy, paper leaks and corruption in jobs has to be rooted out in Bihar, then the students of Bihar will have to unite like farmers and fight their battle.
Chief Secretary called to meet the students
Amidst the student protests, the Chief Secretary of Bihar called a delegation of five students to meet. However, the students say that they want to meet Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and present their demands before him. However, since Nitish Kumar is currently in Delhi, the Chief Secretary called to meet the students.
There was lathicharge earlier also
Let us tell you that BPSC candidates are continuously protesting. The protesting students allege that the examination conducted by Bihar Public Service Commission is rigged, hence the examination should be cancelled. In this matter also, students had protested fiercely on 25th December. At that time also the police had lathicharged. Many students have also been seriously injured in this lathicharge.
