PMAY Registration: Last date of registration of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana extended

News India Live, Digital Desk: PMAY Registration: Good news for those who dream of home under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). The deadline for PMAY registration for both urban and rural beneficiaries has now been extended to December 2025. This major housing scheme of the Government of India provides financial assistance to economically weaker sections to build its home.

The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana provides subsidy houses in both rural and urban areas and benefits the families below the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and the poverty line. According to the official data of the PMAY website, more than 92.61 lakh houses have been completed under this scheme, which has changed the lives of those who did not have a firm house earlier.

Families with annual income up to Rs 3 lakh and families with income between Rs 3 lakh to 6 lakh are eligible for this scheme if they do not have a firm house anywhere in India. Families with annual income between 6 lakh and 9 lakh rupees who do not have a pucca house also come under the purview of this scheme. In addition, people who are currently living in slums or informal urban settlements are also eligible for profit under the scheme, making it inclusive for various economically weak and lower-or-come groups.

Families listed in SECC data who do not have either houses or those who live in raw houses are eligible for this scheme. However, some categories are not eligible. These include individuals who have a pucca house, who have motorcycles, cars, tractors or agricultural equipment, or who have a farmer credit card (KCC) with a range of Rs 50,000 or more. Apart from this, income tax or professional taxpayers, government employees and refrigerators, landline phones or large land people are also out of the scheme.

The following documents are required to apply for the scheme: Aadhaar card of self and all members of the family, Aadhaar -linked bank account details, valid income proof and land ownership documents. These documents help verify the eligibility and ensure that the benefits under the housing scheme reach the right beneficiaries.

Applicants will have to provide several documents to get benefits under the scheme. These include Aadhaar card, MNREGA job card, bank account details and Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) number. Additionally, an affidavit is also necessary in which it is confirmed that the applicant does not have a firm house. Step 1: Go to the official PMAY -U 2.0 website and click on the ‘Apply for PMAY -U 2.0’ button on the homepage.

Step 2: Review the guidelines and click ‘Click to move forward’. Make sure that all the required documents are ready, then click on ‘move forward’.

step 4: Enter your Aadhaar number and verify it using OTP sent to your registered mobile number.

Step 5: Complete the application form, upload the required documents, enter the captcha code and click ‘Save’. You can also take a print of the form for future reference.

Step 1: Fill your personal information, upload the consent form and click ‘Search’.

Step 2: Select your name from search results and click ‘Select for registration’.

step 3: The details of the beneficiary will be filled automatically; Enter your bank account details and plan convergence information manually.

step 4: The last part of the application to finalize your registration will be completed by the designated office staff.
