Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Bhopal at 5:05 pm on Sunday evening for the Global Investor Summit.

PM Modi has arrived in Bhopal from Pandit Dhirendra Shastri’s Bageshwar Dham in Chhatarpur, where he laid the foundation stone of a cancer hospital. He will inaugurate the Global Investor Summit on February 23.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav accompanied him from Chhatarpur to Bhopal.

His highly secured convoy left from Raja Bhoj Airport for the Raj Bhavan. Besides the Z+ security for the PM, a three-layered security was set up along the 13.8 km stretch between the airport and Raj Bhavan.

Bhopal district police personnel were deployed to all the high-rise buildings along the route taken by PM Modi. The police teams will keep an eye on the surroundings via binoculars to ensure nothing ‘unplanned’ happens. Drones were completely banned on the route.

High-profile dinner at Raj Bhavan

The Prime Minister is likely to have dinner with CM Mohan Yadav, Governor Mangubhai Patel, VD Sharma and other senior BJP officials later in the evening. He will also meet BJP MLAs and leaders.

PM Modi will stay a night in Raj Bhavan for the first time.

Heavy security, CCTV Cameras to guard Bhopal for 48 hours

Heavy security will be deployed across the capital starting today till the event concludes on February 24.

The entire state capital will be guarded by the three-tier security system, with SPG commandos securing from the front, IPS officers forming the second ring of security, and police personnel deployed in the third layer.

Over 500 CCTV cameras and flying drones will monitor the city during the two days on February 23 and 24. However, drones will be completely banned on the VVIP route to be taken by the industrialists, business giants, and foreign delegates for these 48 hours.
