Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Mauritius on a two -day visit from today. Prime Minister Modi was welcomed grandly and warmly at Port Lewis of Mauritius. The top dignitaries including Mauritius Prime Minister Naveen Ramgulam welcomed Prime Minister Modi. Prime Minister Naveen garlanded Prime Minister Modi and hugged him and welcomed him in his country. During this, PM Modi was also given a guard of honor.

During his visit, Prime Minister Modi will attend the National Day celebrations of the island nation as the chief guest and hold a meeting with the country’s top leadership.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached a hotel in Port Lewis in Mauritius. He was welcomed by the people of the Indian community and greeted Prime Minister Modi by raising slogans of Modi Modi and Bharat Mata Ki Jai. Prime Minister Modi hugged a girl and showered love on her. Prime Minister Modi will participate as the chief guest at the National Day celebrations of Mauritius on 12 March. A contingent of Indian defense forces and a ship of the Indian Navy will participate in the ceremony.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was welcomed with a traditional Bihari song at Port Lewis of Mauritius. The song Gwain is a traditional Bhojpuri music group that represents the rich cultural heritage brought by women in the Bhojpuri region of India to Mauritius. Recognizing its cultural significance, the song was included in the representative list of UNESCO’s abstract cultural heritage in December 2016.
