Before the assembly elections in Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to give many big gifts to the people of the capital. On January 3, PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several development projects. These include many gifts like flats to the poor, urban redevelopment projects, and a college in the name of Veer Savarkar.
Poor will get flats: Swabhiman apartments inaugurated in Ashok Vihar
- Swabhiman Apartments in Ashok Vihar:
The Prime Minister will visit the Swabhiman Apartments built in Ashok Vihar at around 12 noon. - For economically weaker people:
- PM Modi will hand over the keys of flats to 1675 beneficiaries.
- This initiative has been taken under the “Home for All” scheme.
- Flat Cost and Payment:
- The price of each flat is Rs 25 lakh.
- Beneficiaries will have to pay only 7%, which includes:
- Marginal contribution of Rs 1.42 lakh.
- Maintenance charge of Rs 30,000 for every five years.
Naoroji Nagar and Sarojini Nagar: Urban Redevelopment Projects inaugurated
- Naoroji Nagar:
- In place of 600 old quarters, a World Trade Center with 34 lakh square feet of premium commercial space has been built here.
- Sarojini Nagar:
- 28 towers have been built here, which include 2500 residential flats.
- All modern facilities will be available in the flats.
- These projects are being considered as big steps towards the urban redevelopment of Delhi.
CBSE Integrated Office Complex inaugurated in Dwarka
- CBSE Office Complex:
- This modern office complex, built at a cost of Rs 300 crore, will be inaugurated in Dwarka.
New projects in Delhi University
- The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of three new projects at a cost of Rs 600 crore.
- Major Projects:
- East Campus in Surajmal Vihar.
- Western Campus in Dwarka.
Veer Savarkar College and other gifts
- College in the name of Veer Savarkar:
- A college will be constructed in the name of Veer Savarkar in Najafgarh.
- These projects aim to take education and infrastructure in the capital to new heights.
