Chandigarh : Haryana is Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s first choice to launch central schemes. This time the Prime Minister is going to launch the Bima Sakhi scheme from Panipat, Haryana on 9th December. About 9 years ago, the Prime Minister had launched the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao scheme from Panipat on 22 January 2015. During these years, the Central Government has launched half a dozen central schemes in different districts of the state. There has been a lot of improvement in the sex ratio of the state under the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao scheme.
When the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao scheme was started in the country from Panipat, the sex ratio of the state was 837, which has now increased to 923. The state government wants to increase the sex ratio in the state to 950 girls per 1000 boys.
For this, raid operations are being intensified in the states bordering Haryana. On December 9 itself, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of the main campus of Maharana Pratap Horticulture University in Karnal, which has been built on 65 acres at a cost of Rs 400 crore. As MP from Karnal, Union Minister Manohar Lal and Chief Minister Naib Saini had taken stock of the preparations for the Prime Minister’s visit to Panipat two days ago.
