Riyadh : Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two -day visit to Saudi Arabia and reached Jeddah in the afternoon on Tuesday (22 April). Prime Minister Modi has visited Saudi Arabia on the invitation of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Prime Minister Modi’s visit is considered to be an important part of a new chapter between India and Saudi Arabia. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was given a grand welcome as soon as he reached the airport. Meanwhile, as soon as Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Jeddah, the slogan of “A Vatan” was raised. A Saudi Arabian sang the song “A Vatan”. The song was presented to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In addition, as soon as Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s aircraft reached the border of Saudi Arabia, the F-15 fighters of the Royal Air Force maintained it. During this visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will sign six MoUs (MoUs) between the two countries. Some other important agreements will also be finalized.
New direction to India-Saudi relations
Prime Minister Modi and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman will co-chair the Strategic Partnership Council between Saudi Arabia and India. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, this bilateral meeting will promote new relations between the two countries. India and Saudi Arabia will gain new momentum in the areas of defense, trade, energy and people.
Haj pilgrimage and Indian quota will be discussed
Apart from this, Prime Minister Modi will also discuss the quota and other arrangements of Indian Haj pilgrims with Crown Prince. Indian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Suhail Ejaz Khan has said that Jeddah is an important city for contact between India and Saudi Arabia. The port of the city is a major route of trade between the two countries. The city also has a entrance to maize.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised the vision of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Modi also said that he is a true supporter of India-Saudi Arabia relations.
