Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a tour of Varanasi for the 50th time today , During this, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of thousands of crores of development projects and addressed a public meeting. On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi gave a gift of Rs 3880 crore to Banaras and inaugurated 44 projects related to road, electricity, education and tourism. Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath were also present on the occasion.

Giving this information, Mandalayukta Kaushal Raj Sharma of Varanasi said, ‘These projects include schemes focused on rural development. These include 130 drinking water projects, 100 new Anganwadi centers, 356 libraries, a polytechnic college in Pindra and a state degree college. Apart from this, the Prime Minister inaugurated the transit hostels as well as police barrars on four rural roads in the police line.

Inaugurating and laying the development projects in Kashi Prime Minister Modi said, ‘I am indebted to the love given by Kashi. Kashi is mine and I am from Kashi. The development of Banaras has got new pace in the last 10 years. Today Kashi is not only ancient, but also progressive. Kashi has adopted modernity by maintaining balance with heritage. Kashi is pulling the development chariot of Purvanchal. Facilities are expanding in Purvanchal. Kashi is the most beautiful picture of India’s diversity.
These projects are milestones in the development of Purvanchal.
Prime Minister Modi further said, ‘The foundation stone of many projects has been laid in Kashi today. Many projects related to connectivity, tap-water campaign, education, health and other facilities and resolve to provide better facilities to every class, every family, every youth. All these schemes will prove to be a milestone in the development of Purvanchal.
