PM Modi Niti Aayog 10th Meeting: Dialogue will be held with all the Chief Ministers under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Modi

News India Live, Digital Desk, PM modi niti aayog 10th meeting: This is the first major dialogue between the Prime Minister and the Chief Ministers of all the states after the operation vermilion run by the Indian Armed Forces earlier this month to avenge the recent Pahalgam terrorist attack by the Indian Armed Forces to successfully destroy nine terrorist camps and their training centers in Pakistan occupied Kashmir.

According to a statement by the NITI Aayog, the meeting underlined the Prime Minister’s commitment to work with all the states as “Team India” to achieve the goal of India.

The meeting, organized on the subject of ‘developed state@2047’ for developed India, aims to promote cooperative federalism and to align state level aspirations with the national goal of making India a developed country by the 100th year of independence.

The center of discussion will be on making the states capable of preparing adventure, long -term and inclusive vision documents based on local realities and based on local realities.

States are expected to focus on human development, economic growth, stability, technology and governance reforms, which emphasize data-making and result-based strategies. Institutional mechanisms such as project monitoring units, ICT-competent infrastructure and monitoring and assessment cells will support accountability and course improvement.

The Governing Council meeting serves as a platform to discuss development challenges for the Center and States/Union Territories (UT) and find out how the state can serve as the construction section of the developed India.

Topics like entrepreneurship enhancement, advanced skills and sustainable employment generation will also be discussed.

In the meeting, efforts will also be made to build a consensus on the subjects of the fourth National Conference of Chief Secretaries to be held from 13 to 15 December 2024.

The conference was attended by the central government secretaries and Chief Secretaries of the states and union territories and recommendations were presented on the theme of ‘promoting entrepreneurship, employment and skill – taking advantage of demographic dividend’.

Six major subject areas emerged from the conference:

1. To create capable ecosystems for manufacturing in Tier 2 and 3 cities;

2. Creating a competent ecosystem for services in Tier 2 and 3 cities;

3. MSME and informal employment in rural non-agricultural sectors;

4. MSME and informal employment in urban areas;

5. Opportunities in the green economy through renewable energy; And

6. Opportunities in the green economy through circular economy initiative.

A senior government official said that in the discussion, the initiatives of budget 2025-26 and existing economic challenges are also likely to be discussed.

The official said the US is expected to grow between 6.2 and 6.7 percent in the current financial year of the Indian economy, despite challenges such as mutual tariffs and global recession.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank have revised India’s development estimates for 2025-26 to 6.2 percent and 6.3 percent respectively, citing global uncertainties and trade tensions.

The Governing Council, the highest decision -making organization of the NITI Aayog, includes all the Chief Ministers, the Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territories and several Union Ministers.

Prime Minister Modi, who has been presiding over it from the time of its establishment, will preside over this meeting.

It is noteworthy that 10 states and union territories did not participate in the meeting held on July 27 last year.

NITI Aayog is in the process of preparing a consolidated vision document to guide India by 2047 to make India a $ 30 trillion economy.

The document, assigned to integrate ten regional thematic approaches in 2023, will include economic development, social development, stability and governance as major pillars.
