PM Kisan: Beneficiaries of PM Kisan Yojana can now do KYC by scanning their face with their phone instead of one time password and fingerprint. Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar launched this mobile app on Thursday.

To take advantage of PM Kisan Yojana, it is necessary for farmers to get KYC done. Till now the information and thumb impression of the farmers were taken for doing KYC. But now the government has made the process of KYC easier for those farmers. For whom this was a problem.

Now the face authentication facility has also started for the farmers. Which farmers will also be able to do through their mobile phones. Face authentication facility through mobile app has been started by the government for the first time for any central welfare scheme. That is, now farmers do not need to wander anywhere to get KYC done. They can complete KYC through their phone even while sitting at home.

KYC is necessary for the farmers,

So far, the government has paid 13 installments to the farmers under PM Kisan Yojana. 14th installment is being paid. For which it is necessary for the farmers to get KYC done.

The pilot test of this app with face authentication facility has been started from May 21 itself. In which so far 3 lakh farmers have done e-KYC through their phones, still there are many farmers who do not have mobile number and Aadhaar card link. Due to which they were not able to complete the KYC process. Not only this, the elders were also facing difficulties in getting KYC done through finger print at the centres. But now the elders will also get relief through the face authentication facility.

3 crore women farmers got benefits

PM Kisan Yojana was started in the year 2019. In which an installment of 2000 thousand rupees is paid every four months. In this, money is transferred directly to the farmers’ account without any middlemen. So far, the government has transferred Rs 2.42 lakh crore to the accounts of about 11 crore farmers. The great thing is that about 3 crore women farmers are included in these farmers.
