The government said that this time the number of beneficiary farmers has increased to 9.8 crore, which was 9.6 crore in the 18th installment. It is clear from this that many new farmers have been added to the new list.
What is PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme?
The scheme was launched in February 2019 and was made effective from 1 December 2018.
It is the world’s largest direct benefit transfer (DBT) scheme.
The government gives Rs 6,000 to farmers every year, which are sent to three installments of Rs 2,000 every four months.
The objective of this scheme is to increase farmers’ income, reduce the cost of farming and promote natural farming.
The government has so far released a total of Rs 3.46 lakh crore under this scheme, and after the release of the 19th installment, this amount will reach Rs 3.68 lakh crore.
How to check PM Kisan 19th installment status?
If you want to know whether your name is in the beneficiary list or not, you can check it online sitting at home.
Step-by-step guide:
First of all visit the official website of PM Kisan.
Scroll down and go to the “Farmers Corner” section.
Click on the option “Beneficiary List”.
Choose your state, district, tehsil, block and village.
Click on the “Get Report” button.
Now you will get a full list of beneficiaries in front of you.
If your name is not in the list, then you can call PM-Kisan Helpline 011-24300606 and file a complaint.
E-KYC mandatory for PM Kisan, do this way
If you want the next installment of PM Kisan to come to your account, then you have to get E-Kyc (Electronic KYC).
Two ways to do e-kyc:
Online method (via OTP):
If your Aadhaar card is linked to the mobile number, then you can go to the PM Kisan portal and E-KYC through OTP verification.
Visiting CSC Center (through biometric verification):
If your mobile number is not linked to Aadhaar, then you will have to complete E-KYC through fingerprint verification by visiting the nearest CSC (Common Service Center).
If E-KYC is not done, your next installment may get stuck.
Eligibility for PM Kisan
Not every farmer can get the benefit of PM-Kisan scheme. The government has set some eligibility criteria:
Those farmers who have agricultural land in the name are eligible for this scheme.
Only zamindar farmers can avail this scheme.
Government employees, doctors, engineers, chartered accountants and income tax payers are not eligible for this scheme.
