Plastic Water Bottle in the Car: Leaving a plastic bottle in a car can prove to be dangerous for your health

News India Live, Digital Desk: After drinking water, people often leave plastic bottles inside the car. However, this normal looking habit can have a serious impact on your health. According to experts, many harmful chemicals come out of the heated plastic bottles due to strong sunlight in a closed car, which are extremely harmful for the body.

Why is this habit dangerous?

Dr. Manjusha Aggarwal told the Indian Express that when plastic bottles are kept in high temperatures, especially in closed trains, then it dissolves in harmful chemical water like Bisphenol A and Antimony. These chemicals cause imbalances in the body’s hormones and increase the risk of serious diseases like cancer when they are in prolonged contact.

Danger in plastic bottles

According to Dr. Rituja Uglemugale, most plastic bottles have polyethylene terefthelet (PET), which releases dangerous substances such as BPA and antimony under the influence of heat. They can spoil the balance of chemical hormones, increase insulin resistance, affect metabolism, and increase the risk of cardiovascular problems.

Antimony is a metaloid, which can also cause stomach problems and toxicity of internal organs when in front of long exposure.

Microplastic risk

Dr. Manjusha says that due to heating the plastic bottle in the car, microplastics are released, which can enter the body and cause inflammation and long-term damage to the organs. Microplastics have also been linked to the risk of cancer.

What should you do?

Use plastic bottles minimized or close completely. Instead, use stainless steel, glass, soil, bamboo or bottles made of wood. By doing this, you will protect your health as well as environment.
